Thursday

Letter of the Day: Ll

Today was our first day back after the Christmas break.
I decided that since we are now in the 'cold and frosty' days of January
that the children could play in the "snow."

Our "snow,"
the only snow this household has seen this year,
 is flour!

Cars, dump trucks, little people, road signs, and flour make
for wonderful snow adventures!!!
I think they really loved it =D

Then, after clean-up time, we sat and had our prayer time.
There were thankful hearts for "Daddy," "My family," and "Presents!"
The prayer requests were just as sweet:
"My Daddy," My sister and me are berry sick," and
"Please pray for my mommy's knee."

A new year, new month, clean slate!
We worked on the months of the year,
days of the week, and talked about a new year.

Next, came snack time and a celebration!
Our little Madelyn read 100 books!!!

We sang "Congratulations to you!"
and she blew our her candle.
I don't think I have ever had a student
soooo excited!
She is precious!

After having such a fun morning we settled down to hear our
Bible story covering the letter Ll
about a 'lame' man that Jesus 'loved.'

What a wonderful DAY!!!
I love my students,
teaching,
playing,
celebrating,
and my Lord Jesus!!!
