Thursday

Day 6: Letter Gg

Today we worked with Legos:

we worked to sort the legos by color.

we also sorted the legos by shape:
-we found rectangle and square shaped legos.

and even oval shaped legos!

then we worked at making a rectangle tower
and a square tower!

During our prayer time each child had a chance to share
what they are thankful for and share their prayer request.

We thanked God for our daddies, mommies and Chuck-E-Cheese (!)
and prayed for our families.

...and after 'Circle Time' we....

had snack time.
During our snack time we had a mini- 'Happy Birthday' party-
it made one little boy very happy =)

Next, we read about God being our Good Shepherd from the parable
of the lost sheep.
Each week we review all our letters with the
"God, Me, and My ABC's" alphabet flip chart.

Here is the Gg craft page.

Our God IS the Good Shepherd-
He is patient, kind, merciful,
He knows us, loves us, watches over us, protects us.
It was a wonderful day reflecting on how very much
God loves us on Gg day.

Day 6: Letter Ff

I chose to start the morning off with...
painting!!!

They were all excited!

They got right to work.

We learned how to put paint on our leaf stamp,
stamp the paper and then fill the canvas with leaves!

and rainbows!

After we finished painting,
washing up, and cleaning up,
we moved into 'Circle Time.'

We said our "Pledge of Allegiance" to the American flag and...

our pledge to the Christian flag.

Today we studied the letter Ff.
We read the story of how Jesus called Peter, a fisherman, to be His apostle.
I told them that Jesus asked Peter to no longer fish for fish,
but to fish for men.
They went hysterical laughing!  "You can't fish for men!!!"
They thought that that was the funniest thing I have ever said.
Hopefully, they understood more clearly when the lesson was over.

Another great day with great children.
