Thursday

Graduation Day...the final day =(

HERE WE ARE!!!

The precious class of 2012!!!

Decorations were in order!

They were ready to begin their performance!

We started our day, as we always do,
with the Pledge of Alliance and the
Pledge to the Christian Flag.

Then we sang a few songs from our Circle Time:
Our shape song was one of them!

Next we sang our Alphabet song...
The Christian version of the alphabet song that is.

The B-I-B-L-E!
YES! that's the Book for me!

Our David and Goliath song is always a hit!
(pun intended).

...and the giant came tumbling down!

For our "Creation" song we sang:
"If I were...a butterfly, robin in a tree, fish in the sea,

octopus, crocodile, elephant,

antelope, kangaroo, dinosaur,
I'd spend my days just praising the Lord,
but I just thank you Lord for making me!"

I have decided to follow Jesus!
(They are using their fingers to make the cross).

"Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, REJOICE!"

After many, many, many songs,
and doing such a good job,
they received their present!
First they were each given a diploma and then...

Their very own A B C book
Illustrated by them
and written by me!

Each child took time to look through their book
and remember the whole year of crafts!

They were so happy!

Then it was time for lunch- PIZZA!

And then graduate cupcakes and ice cream for dessert!

I also made graduate hat pops!

We sang...

blew out the candles...

and then enjoyed eating them up!

CONGRATULATIONS
CLASS OF 2012!!!!
I couldn't be more proud!
I love you all to bits, and bits and bits!!!!

YOU DID IT!

As I say goodbye to my sweet class of 2012
I look forward to another blessed year with a new class!
BYE! UNTIL the  NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!!!

Wednesday

Letter of the Day: Zz....Our last Class =(

Our very last day of school was today,
so I decided to take out some toys that
the children hadn't seen in a while...

brick blocks to make a store...

the Littlest Pet Shop...

wooden blocks and toy animals...and much, much more!

After some time of play I had them come to the table
to make a Father's Day craft.
I will not be with them in June,
but since they made something for Mother's Day
I thought, "We can't forget Daddy!"

Putting their feet in cold, squishy paint and hearing them
squeal is so sweet!

LOVE their little feet!

I had a warm bucket of water waiting for them.
They liked the warm water so much
that they didn't want to take their toes out of it!

Then came the decorating, creative side of the craft.

Gluing down the little foam pieces.
(Sometimes I use baby jars to store the glue in
and q-tips to dip and rub the glue).

I thought this saying was just so true!

Finished!

Today, after we had our circle time
and snack time
we settled together for our Bible time.
We had to sit on the floor today
because they covered my couch with toys!

and here we are!
(My son saw us and took this picture).

When I got to the part where Jesus tells Zacchaeus to come down
from the tree and that He wants to
go to Zacchaeus' house,
I was just about to ask them,
"How would you like it if Jesus came to your house?"
When one of the little girls said,
"I would LOVE for Jesus to come to my house!"

Our very last Bible craft for the year.
I'm not sure they understand that today was the last day.
But I did. I teared up.
They were too busy to notice.

"Zacchaeus Zoomed home to be with Jesus."

Here he is having jumped down from the tree-

and zoomed home!

Thus ends a perfect day
to a perfect year.
I love these children.
I love Joy School.
I love being a part of God's plan.
I am sad to see this year end,
but I do hope to have the opportunity to do it again next year!
Blessings to all -see you next week as I post the graduation!!
